Bella Rules

Bella thinks she rules the house when Joel is gone.  Last week Joel was gone in Spokane working.  Lately he was been traveling one week out of every month.  Don't tell him but it's a nice break and I love spending time with Peyton.  The only thing that sucks when he is gone is Bella seriously thinks all rules don't apply when Joel is gone.  This is her the second Joel leaves as she knows she's not allowed on our bed when he's home!

Trampoline!

Yes, we finally gave in.  Okay lets me honest Joel finally gave in to me and Peyton begging for a trampoline!  I have been watching the sunday ads for several weeks waiting for this trampoline to go on sale at Fred Meyers.  It finally went on sale for $199 after the original price was $399.  Peyton loves it and has been not stop jumping in it.  I will admit that I love it just as much and have spent a few fun nights out on the tramp showing Peyton my old cheerleading jumps that I learned way back when on a tramp, and other times just laying on it staring at the stars!  It will definitely gets its use out in our house!

What Does the Future Hold?

This past week has been probably the most stressful, emotional week for me in a LONG time.  Lets start with where it all began.  On Thursday, May 6th I received a call from and Orthodontist office.  They were wanting to see if I would be interested in a position they were hiring for.  I'm sure they heard the silence on the other end and quickly thought to fill me in on how they got my number and why they were calling me. My good friend works at their office and had mention to the Dr who I am and where I work and all that jazz.  They asked me if I was looking for another job and I told them no.  They then asked me if I would be interested in doing an interview and just seeing what the Dr had to offer me.  I figured it couldn't hurt and I would just see........So to make a SUPER long story short I interviewed on Friday, May 7th and did a working interview on Tuesday, May 11th.  At the end of the day the Dr offered me an incredible offer with a higher pay and more hours then I currently have.

To me this was very stressful and emotional because deep down I don't want to move on, I hate the stress that comes with a new job and learning all there systems and how they run their office.  I hate making new friendships in a new unfamiliar environment.  But the biggest thing I HATE is leaving all my amazing friends/co-workers, the comfort of knowing everything at my current office, the incredible/insane patients that will miss my darling face (j/k), and just the all around fun I had at my office.  There was never a day I dreaded going to work.  I love my job at Aspen Dental and will be so sad to leave.  I just need to remember that what I am doing is going to benefit my family financially.  I hope I can learn fast, feel comfortable, love my job as much as I do now, and make new incredible friendships.  Wish me luck I start the new job May 24th!

Strawberry Jam Recipe....

Here it is the must needed and asked for yummo recipe for less sugar strawberry jam.

what you need

4 cups prepared fruit (buy about 4 pt. fully ripe strawberries)
2 cups  sugar, measured into separate bowl
1 box SURE.JELL For Less or No Sugar Needed Recipes Premium
1 cup  water

make it

RINSE clean plastic containers and lids with boiling water. Dry thoroughly.
CRUSH strawberries thoroughly, one layer at a time. Measure exactly 4 cups crushed strawberries into large bowl.
MIX sugar and pectin in large saucepan. Stir in water. Bring to boil on medium-high heat, stirring constantly. Boil and stir 1 minute. Remove from heat. Add strawberries; stir 1 minute or until well blended.
FILL all containers immediately to within 1/2 inch of tops. Wipe off top edges of containers; immediately cover with lids. Let stand at room temperature 24 hours. Jam is now ready to use. Store in refrigerator up to 3 weeks or freeze extra containers up to 1 year. Thaw in refrigerator before using.

Enjoy. Let me know what you guys think.  The regular strawberry jam calls for 4 cups sugar to 2 cups fruit so there is a TON more sugar in that one.

Strawberry Jam!

I have not made strawberry jam in such a long time.  Usually when I make it, it was more like my mom made it.  About 3 weeks ago my friend came over and we tempted to make this new low sugar recipe along with the original one.  The new lower sugar one is by far my fav.  I love it and will only make that one from here on out.  Nothing taste better then home made strawberry jam on bread with a little peanut butter!!!  Next on the list is peach once the peaches are yummy enough!!!

Goodbye Jetta, Hello Rogue!

Yes, we have done it again.  Since Joel and I have been married we have owned a total of 6 different cars and this one will count as #7.  I know we are crazy.  I have loved my Jetta but ever since we had gotten rid of my sweet fully loaded Santa Fe I have missed my SUV.  The Jetta is just too small for us.  Even though our family won't be growing anymore I still felt we needed something bigger and of course I wanted my SUV back.

In this market trading in your car is a nightmare and most people will be upside down on there loan (if they have one).  Fortunately one of my best friends dad is a manager at a dealership.  She hooked us up big time and her dad gave us full trade on our Jetta which anywhere else we would have gotten $3,000 less.  THANK YOU MIKE!!!!

Here is our new ride, THAT I LOVE!!!

Blog Stalking......

Okay so in my last post I mentioned something about me blog stalking.  Don't sit there and think, I can't believe she blog stalks, or you may think.......What is blog stalking.  So lets start with what is blog stalking.

Blog Stalking:  secretly reading someone’s blog with the express purpose of learning more about them without their knowledge; to stalk via blog.

Everyone has done this.  So don't sit there and say you haven't.  Because you have and if your reading this your probably blog stalking me!!  haha I think it's great just leave me a comment if you are a stalker cuz' I want to know.

So let me get to the whole reason of my post.  I was blog stalking the other day and there is this girl (I do know her so maybe it's not really blog stalking?)  Anyway this girl that I blog stalk I have met her.  I first met her about 8 months ago.  I never knew she had a blog till we were friends on Facebook and I saw her blog website on there and that's where this all starts.

Even though I don't hang out with this girl or even talk to her on a regular base (I think the last time I talked to her was via email over a month ago) I feel like I know this girl and her cute family.  I sometimes read her blog and feel like we are soo much alike and feel like I wish my blog was more personable like hers.  She writes about really funny things that you wouldn't usually see on other peoples blogs like sex, being a girl and farting, feeling fat, the gross women stuff you go through and more random funny things.

I guess my whole point is this.........NOTHING.  There is no point to this whole post just another random thought from me.  Although I would like to know your thoughts on blog stalking and if you ever find yourself on someones random blog and are so intrigued that you return regularly to that same one!

This is Perfect!

Okay I came across this as I was blog stalking (Next Post!) and when I saw this I thought of the one and only person........ME!
You may be asking yourself why I think I am the queen of random.  Have you ever really read my blog. I am so off the wall sometimes in my blog and blog about the dumbest stuff.  Pointless stuff, and it's never consistent.  I figure I am probably never going to change how I blog and might continue to neglect my blog for several weeks then blog a ton.  My life is random and I make it more that way everyday.  Not only am I random but I am so indecisive about EVERYTHING.  Have you noticed how many times I have changed my blog in the last 2 months?  I can't ever decide on anything and when I finally do it doesn't take long for me to change my mind once again.  Just ask Joel how much he loves this about me.  You could ask Joel how many times I have re-arranged rooms in my house, cupboards, drawers, and closets.

♒ ♒ ♒

One day this week I was having a really bad day.  Everything went wrong.  I was talking to my friend on the phone about my day and she invited me over or a fun/relaxing night at her house.  My response to her was No.  I said no because my idea of dealing with a bad day and being in a pissy mood is to organize and clean and re-arrange my house.  That day I went out and spent close to $100 on just plastic tubs, baskets, and dividers.  I spent my evening clearing out a closet and cupboard mostly organizing my scrap-booking stuff.

♒ ♒ ♒

After reading this post you will surely agree with my newly posted picture!!  Seriously I am the queen of random and it's only going to get worse!

St. Paddy's Day

Did the leprechaun make it to your house?  He came by ours and turned our whole dinner green.  From our enchiladas, to the sour cream, even our rice was green!  And of course I only took one picture.  I really need to get a nice new camera so I take more photos.

Sunny Weather!

Yes Boise has finally been blessed with warmth.  The last few weeks have been in the high 50's low 60's.  Its been capri appropriate weather!!  O how I love the sun.  Im super excited for summer.  I think one of the biggest things I am excited for this summer is all the swimming and playing Peyton and I will be doing.  Plus since I have lost 25 pounds in the last 6 months I am excited to wear summer clothes!!  Here are a few shots of Peyton at the park with her friend Cole.  Peyton was so excited to be outside for longer then 5 mins without freezing.

The Best Mommy Ever!

I hear several times daily these sweet remarks from Peyton:

  • You're the best mommy ever!
  • You're the awesomeness mommy!
  • Mom you're my best friend.
  • Mom you're the super, awesome, best mommy ever.
  • Mom have I told you that you're the coolest mommy ever
I think it's pretty awesome that Peyton thinks I'm so cool. hahaha Too bad it won't last forever.  One day she will know the truth that Im just normal!  And last night I hear from Peyton's room as Joel is trying to tell her a story "Daddy you suck, mommy can you tell me a story?"

The Day We Have Been Waiting for!

Yes that day we have been waiting for has finally come!  The day we signed our life away on a house.  Not just any house, but an incredible beautiful house that is brand new (even though it's 5 years old, nobody has lived in it yet!) We have been dealing with this house and waiting to sign on it since Sep 4th.  Luckily we got to move in early and live here while we traveled the long road of hell to get to the signing part.  We signed yesterday in the a.m. and by the afternoon it was recorded and officially ours!

Over the past few months of living here we have spent so much time and money on this dang house that if something were to go wrong and we didn't close on this house it would have been awful.  We are so glad to be able to buy our first home.  Yes, we have bought before when we lived in Logan and bought a condo/townhouse thing but really that's not a house or even close.  When you buy your first house it's so much different then a condo/townhouse because you actually own the whole building.  When you buy a condo/townhouse you own a section.  Which is just gay!!    Yesterday after we signed it was probably one of the happiest days of my life.  Not to mention when we walked out of the title company I felt like a huge relief was just lifted off of me!  THANK THE LORD!!

Also I better add a few pictures for my mom who is dying to see our new entertainment center.  We finally found something that we loved for our living room.  We needed to add something to it because it is such a big room that it looked so empty.  It's not complete done yet (yes mom I will be adding some greenery to it and some other fun stuff on top!)  Which means I am headed to Grapels today!!  To shop for me and my mom who loves the store as much as I do.  Plus I get to venture out in the snow that fell last night!  Hope everyone has a great weekend because I know I will!!  Oh and it's girls night out for me and my two besties which means a good dinner and a fun new chick flick that I am dying to see!!  YAY FOR WEEKENDS!

Always a Grand Conversation

Over the past few days Peyton has been killing me with her question/comments or anything out of her mouth.  Here is some of her random thoughts, questions, and comments.

Peyton (in the bathroom screaming): "Mom I threw up in my underwear!"

Me:  "What do you mean you threw up in your underwear?"

Peyton: "Mom just come and see it!"

Me: "Alright I'm coming."

Looking at her underwear she is holding and it's clearly road rash, skid marks, poop in her underwear what ever you want to call it.  So I say

"Peyton that is not throw up that is poop from not wiping your butt good enough."  Plus you can't throw up in your underwear when your wearing them!"

Peyton: "Mom I didn't say I threw up, my butt threw up in them!"

Where does she come up with that at?!

While showering with my sweet daughter she asks me this............

Peyton: "Mom does your boobie have an ouchie?" (pointing to my areola)

Me: "No Peyton that is just part of the boobie."

Peyton: "Mom when will I have huge boobies like you?"

Me: "When you are older honey."

Peyton: "Older like when I am five?!" (seriously this kid can't wait till she turns 5 because she knows she gets to start school and ride a bus and she talks about turning 5 and every time I say when your older she thinks 5 is the magic number.)

Me: "No Peyton when you are much older like a mommy older."

Peyton: "Oh, okay as long as I have huge boobies like you!"

A few weeks ago the elders in our ward came over to introduce themselves and invite us to church.  While sitting and visit with them for about 20 mins we were just finishing up our visit with them when my sweet child came running in and sat right in front of them.  She raised her hand and pointed to the sky with her pointer and blurts out "THEY DRINK COFFEE!"  I probably turned 5 shades red and started laughing.  I didn't turn red because they now know I drink coffee, kinda hard to hide when you have a coffee pot on your counter.  I turned red because I can't believe my daughter randomly said that to someone in our house and the fact that she knew it was a bad thing to do and go to church??  Im sure it's because my mom has told Peyton soooo many times not to let me drink coffee because it's not good! Thanks mom!!

When we first moved into our house we had a serious problem with birds on our house and pecking at our house.  Every night Joel would go out and hunt for birds and shoot them and every night he would come in and say "those damn birds are at it again."  After a few weeks with the birds I was getting Peyton into my car and she noticed bird poop on my car.  She asked me what it was and I told her it was bird poop.  Her lovely response to that was "THOSE DAMN BIRDS!"  Oops we need to watch what we say because she is constantly soaking in what we say.

On Valentines day Peyton killed me with this one.  Joel was opening up his present from me and one of the funny things I got him was red velvet handcuffs.  As soon as he pulled those babys out Peyton saysBow-Chicka-Bow-Wow!"

Questions Peyton has asked me in the past month:

  • "Did you buy this house for 40 bucks?"
  • "Mom do you have butt hair?"
  • "Can you buy me a laptop like yours?"
  • "Will you please buy this movie for me, it's only 40 bucks!"
  • "Mom why are some people's house sooo messy and ours is always clean?"
  • "Can I please live at Nana's house?"
  • "Will you trade Bella for a new dog?"
  • "Why are you mad at daddy? Is it because he's playing his game again?"

Peyton makes my life so enjoyable and entertaining!!

Killing Bugs

Someone has to do it in our house. Joel won't and Im so sick of being the only one to do it. Peyton killed her first bug tonight and it was hilarious. She told me it was a crane fly or a dragon fly. Come to find out it was the smallest bug I have ever seen. Check it out!

The Longest Story of the 3 Little Pigs!

Peyton's new thing is telling stories.  Her favorite one to tell is The 3 Little Pigs.  I hope you like the story as much as Joel and I do.  We get to hear it all day long.  And did you know wolfs piss and puff?? haha

Peyton Gets Bored A LOT!

The title says it all.  So in a bored day Bella gets to deal with Peyton.  Enjoy!

More Time for Me!

In the last week weeks it seems like I have had more me time.  More time to do the things that I like and more time at home.  I enjoy spending time at home.  As long as my house is super clean and organized then I love to be at home doing nothing but relaxing  I have spent many days on the couch this last several weeks.  You wonder why my lazy ass has been on the couch??  I was working on a project for my dad.   I created my first website.  My dad had been wanting to re-do his website with some flash design and more updated looks.  It was a lot of fun learning the ins and outs of web design and learning a new program called Dreamweaver where I created the website all on my own!

I have been able to do this sitting on my couch because my husband bought me a killer Mac laptop so I can start free-lancing on the side.  I have another website I may be starting in the very near future!

You probably wonder how I have the time to be doing this when I work full time at Aspen Dental?  Well I actually am working part-time now only 3 days a week which has allowed me to have this extra time.  It has been good and I really love being home more with Peyton.

If you want to check out my dads website you can by going here

Sneaky Girl

If I am upstairs calling for Peyton, or anywhere else for that matter (besides the kitchen) and she doesn't answer me or there is just too much quiet going on. I come down to usually find her doing this......

Doesn't frozen whip cream sound so good on an empty tummy.......YUCK!  You usually doesn't sit at the counter and usually hides on the ground on the other side of the island in our kitchen so I can't see her.  She has eaten so much whip cream, and hot butter rum mix that is frozen in our freezer in the last few weeks.  I think it's time to just toss it all.  It's not like we will be eating/using any of it!

Fun Week Ends with Sickness

So after Peyton's crazy birthday week/weekend she woke up that Monday morning coughing and snotty.  The poor girl was so sick and couldn't even go to daycare that day.  Joel stayed home with her as I went to work and my parents loaded up there stuff and left that morning as well.  It was a sad day for Peyton as she had to stay home with dad and everyone else left her.  The next two days I was home with her as I don't work Tuesdays, and Wednesdays.  On Wednesday morning Peyton woke up still not feeling well and asked me to make her a special get better breakfast.  This is what she wanted!

Pink French Toast
and Pink Milk!

Of course she wanted pink french toast and pink milk!  After she ate two pieces of the pink french toast  and drank her pink milk I asked if that made her feel better.  She said no that she was still really sick and that the only thing was that her tummy was really full!  Im hoping she can get better soon.  She still has the sickness and has had it for a week now.

Peyton's Birthday Party

So even after Peyton's big special day she had an awesome birthday party that Saturday following her birthday.  Her party was at Monkey Business.  It's probably one of the coolest places to have a birthday party.  She had tons of friends there.  I think there was a total of about 14 kids.  My parents drove here from Washington, and my sister and her two youngest kids flew here for it.  Peyton has so many people that love her and wanted to share her party with her.

So this Monkey Business place does it all.  They were so organized which if you know me thats a huge plus to anything.  The kids got to play around in the jungle area.  They had a rock climbing wall, a huge blow up slide, a blow up obstacle course, and climb house, and a kiddie area for the little ones.  There was so much fun stuff to do.  Even the adults got very involved as all the toys are made for adults and they look to fun not to play on them.  Here are a few pictures of her fun party!

Thank you to everyone who made Peyton's birthday one of the best!  We love you all so much!

Peyton The Big 4 Year Old!

Where does the time go?  I feel like just the other day we were traveling home from the hospital trying to make it home in one piece because there was a fresh layer of snow on the ground and every car around us was making me nervous.  All I wanted to do was get our new baby girl home safe!  Now here we are four years later and still the biggest part of my life.  She is the funniest little thing full of life, the most sassiest, full of attitude, and always too much energy.  But without all of that life would suck, lets just be honest kids make the world turn and make moms hair eventually turn gray!

So for Peyton's actually birthday we spend the day having a Peyton day.  Anything she wanted to do was what we did.  Although I did have one surprise for her.  We started the day off with a normal morning and breakfast and people who love her calling her to wish her happy birthday.  We got ready and I asked her where she wanted to go for lunch.  So we ate lunch at Quiznos.  Peyton was dying for some soup from there.  Silly girl, most kids would want to go to McDonalds or Burger King but my health freak little sass wanted soup........after lunch we went to the cupcake store and she got to pick out some cupcakes for her special day.  Eight cupcakes and $26.89 later I then realized that cupcake store was a HUGE rip off.

The next part of our day consisted of my surprise for the little diva.  She kept asking me where I was talking her and what my big surprise was.  The little stink said at one point "I hope it's really cool mom and not lame!"  Seriously did she just say that I thought?  Of course it's cool Peyton does mom ever do anything lame?  The answer to that would be NO!

Okay so we finally make it to our place of fun and Peyton was sooo excited to enter in not even knowing what it was that we where there to do.  I took Peyton to a place called Monkey Dooz.  It's a kids salon where they can have basically any treatment an adult would do or want.  So Peyton spent the afternoon getting a manicure and a pedicure.  Then she got her hair all done with lots of curls and glitter. And the finally touch was glitter make-up.  She was one sparkly girl and loved all the shine.  Plus the whole time she was there she had this huge fruity drink with tons of whip cream on it.  She kept telling me she was the princess and that it was her day!  She was so correct on all of that.  Here are some of the pictures from her Monkey Dooz experience.

After we were finished up there we went home and waited for dad and uncle Taylor to get there because then we were headed to dinner.  Peyton chose to go to On the Border.  She loves mexican food and loves there chips and queso.  At dinner I asked the lady to sing happy birthday to Peyton and the lady said they no longer do that anymore.  So instead they bought Peyton a big brownie with ice-cream.  I pretty sure she ate the whole thing.  Her dad tried to help her and little miss thing said "it's mine and my birthday and you can't have any!"

We then headed home where we sang happy birthday I think she ate a cupcake and opened her presents.  She got tons of awesome stuff.  She told me it was the best birthday day ever!  I think it was successful as well.
