More Time for Me!

In the last week weeks it seems like I have had more me time.  More time to do the things that I like and more time at home.  I enjoy spending time at home.  As long as my house is super clean and organized then I love to be at home doing nothing but relaxing  I have spent many days on the couch this last several weeks.  You wonder why my lazy ass has been on the couch??  I was working on a project for my dad.   I created my first website.  My dad had been wanting to re-do his website with some flash design and more updated looks.  It was a lot of fun learning the ins and outs of web design and learning a new program called Dreamweaver where I created the website all on my own!

I have been able to do this sitting on my couch because my husband bought me a killer Mac laptop so I can start free-lancing on the side.  I have another website I may be starting in the very near future!

You probably wonder how I have the time to be doing this when I work full time at Aspen Dental?  Well I actually am working part-time now only 3 days a week which has allowed me to have this extra time.  It has been good and I really love being home more with Peyton.

Happy Anniversary!

Today marks 4 years that Joel and I have been married. I can't believe how fast time goes by. I feel like I have known Joel my whole life!! It has been a great 4 years and I look forward to LOTS more. Thanks honey for still rocking my world!!!!

Working Girl

It's official!!! I went up to Boise yesterday and had a working interview. It was only suppose to be a couple hours but I worked 7!!!! It was a shock to get back into work but at the same time it was so great. I forgot how much I miss working. I will be working at Aspen Dental Care. I know it's kinda funny because before I had Peyton I worked at Aspen Dental!!! But trust me there are no pervert dentist here. Some of the dentist are actually female. It's a huge practice and there are about 25 girls that work there!!! And 4 dentist!!! It will be a ton of fun and I can't wait to get started. There are so many changes that are happening right now in life for us and it has been great. We feel like our answers are finally coming to us.

Scrapbooking

So today when I was at Peyton's dance class I meet one of the moms who does a scrapbooking group. They meet once a month on Friday night and all get together and scrapbook. The nice thing about it is that this girl does all the ideas!! She puts all the materials together and you just pay 18 bucks and you get 6 awesome pages!!! All you do is put them together!!!

That's how I like to do it because you don't have to come up with ideas of what to do. I can hardly wait for February 1st for my first get together. She said they all have so much fun and it's a great way to meet fun women!!

2008

In the previous years this is probably what you would see on my list of new years resolutions. I have never been one to make a list of things I want to do or achieve in the new year. For some reason this year I really want to set goals and achieve them or lest try!!

Now I know that the new year has already started and I should have thought about this a lot sooner but I feel like better late then never. So my first thought was "what is a new years resolution?" So I decided to look it up in the Encyclopedia. This what it said......

A New Year's Resolution is a commitment that an individual makes to a project or a habit, often a lifestyle change that is generally interpreted as advantageous. The name comes from the fact that these commitments normally go into effect on New Year's Day and remain until fulfilled.

So that in mind my list is this, and in no order, because to me they are all important.

Slacker

Okay so I know I have been back from Washington for almost two weeks now and still haven't posted anything. (Thanks to Nicole for reminding me!) I thought I would just write a quick over-view of everything that has been going on. I promise to blog more tomorrow and post up some pics!!

We'll all my Christmas shopping is done and has been for quit some time. I finished most of it in Washington. The funny or not so funny things is while I was there I was finding all these great deals and bought all my stuff there. When it was time to re-pack for me to fly home I had a slight problem. I couln't fit all my stuff into my suitcase. Well two huge boxes later and a total of 50 bucks shipping I don't know if it was really worth it on all the great deals!! But it was a lot of fun shopping with my mom for two whole weeks!!

This last weekend we got to travel to Logan. It was a lot of fun!! We got in Saturday night and had a wonderful Christmas party with our "bestest" friends (who we miss so so much) the Leavitt family!! We had a great time I will post pics and blog more about that later.

Then on Sunday we had the Conger Christmas party. It was a lot of fun but we really missed Nate, Tonia, Dayna, Matt, Joel, and Emme. We wished everyone could have been there. It just wasn't the same without you guys. But we still ate too much and played some really fun games.

Then on Monday I had to go to court for the whole case with Matt Lyman the dentist I use to work for. I was hoping it was my last time there but the Judge wants to do his final sentencing on March 17th. But until then he will sit in prison. Thank you Judge Jankins for not letting him get away with what he has done!!

Sorry this post if a little boring. I promise to be better since I am home and my life is slowly slowing down. I hope everyone is ready for Christmas!!

15 pounds!!

So since Joel and I are heading on a cruise in April Joel and I are trying to lose weight!! I want to lose at least 15 pounds before we go and Joel wants to lose 30 pounds!! I know it can be done. We both just have to keep working at it. I have already started a workout routine with my neighbor and have been working out with her. Joel on the other hand is so so busy he never has time to work out. But he will need to make time if he wants to lose the weight.

I really hope to lose this weight so I can wear things like this:

Who Does Peyton look like?

I have always been told how much Peyton looks so so much like me. When People saw that I tell them I think she looks a lot like Joel too. People always say that they think she looks way more like me and not Joel. Well This right here puts a stop to it!! Twin Falls County Fair

Today we had a great day with my aunt and uncle. We went to the Twin Falls County Fair. Growing up my mom always talked about the Twin Falls Fair and how fun it is. She would always tell us it's the best fair ever. It was a lot of fun but I don't know if it's my favorite fair ever. I think my favorite one is the Puyallup Fair.

We took a few pictures of our fun day. Peyton's two favorite things were the pony rides and feeding the animals!!

Canyon Trails

Today after Joel, Peyton, and I were sitting around bored we decided to go to the trails over by the visitor center. The trail is called Canyon Trail. It was perfect weather, 86 degrees with a 15mph wind!! So it was so nice with a slight breeze.

We had a lot of fun. There is the famous canyon here in Twin Falls were Evil Knievel tried to jump across. And the Perrine Bridge that is here where people jump off it! Today we actually got to see some people jump. What a rush that must be for them. I don't think I could ever do that.

We'll we all had fun on your little walk to the canyon. It was great to get out and get some sun as well as exercise!

Happy Anniversary!

Three years ago today was such a wonderful day. Three years ago today was Friday the 13th of August. Most people are scared of such a day being Friday the 13th and all but I read somewhere that things that happen on such a day last FOREVER!!

Well I know it hasn't been forever but it has been 3 years of marriage for Joel and I. I just wanted to share with everyone all the wonderful things about Joel and all the crazy things that have happened in the last three years of marriage.

Some of my favorite things about Joel are as follow:

So many things have changed and I know only more things will change in the future. I just want Joel to know how much I love and appreciate him for all he does from me. I love him more and more everyday. Even though we might not always agree on everything and there are times we fight I think it's only natural!! I LOVE YOU JOEL AND CAN'T WAIT TO CONTINUE OUR LIVES TOGETHER!!

Sherwood Hills

Well this last weekend Joel and I spent a fun and romantic getaway up at Sherwood Hills. We had a lot of fun and it was a nice treat to have a night to ourselves without Peyton.
