Merry Christmas Early!

I know it's still over a month away but I had to share with all what I got for Christmas. Yes, I was bad and got it early. With Joel leaving in exactly 3 weeks (tear, tear) I thought I would get it early and put it all together. Also my parents were in town this last weekend and they were here to help us put it together. So you may be asking what I got.........Well my parents and Joel all pitched in for this.........
I LOVE IT!!!! Joel and I have been needing a new dinning room table for some time now. We have had the same one since we first got married and it has been through a lot. Even with me re-painting it almost 2 years ago I still needed to part away from it. Thanks again so much Mom, Dad, and Joel for the wonderful table!!!

New Addition To The Family!!

I am jumping for joy right now!!! Joel finally gave in to getting a family dog. We picked out sweet little girl up tonight and have been having tons of fun with her since we got her. Peyton just loves her to death and doesn't' want to stop holding her and following her around the house. Bedtime tonight was a huge ordeal because Peyton wanted the puppy to sleep with her. We asked Peyton what she wanted to name the puppy!! Peyton's first response was "puppy?" Then it was "doggie?" Then after a few more names like Gretchen (who is my moms dogs name) then Maddie (who is my aunts dogs name) she finally decided on Zoey!!! We love this little puppy so much and can't wait for the fun she brings to our daily busy life!

Wii Fit

I just wanted to share with everyone that I am now a proud owner of Wii Fit!!! I have been wanting this for some time. Did you know how hard it was to find?? I would call around to stores looking for one and today my calling paid off. It was the only one that got shipped to them today and the only one for weeks. If you don't know much about the wii fit you should definitely look into it. Buying this instead of buying a gym membership is going to save me tons of money, and I can do it in my house whenever I want! I love it because it tracks your progress, figures out your BMI, and it helps you set goals you can achieve!! I am trying to lose 20 pounds by October!! I think if I truly work hard and have fun I will be able to achieve my goal!! I will have to keep everyone posted on how things are going.

Scentsy

If you haven't ever heard of Scentsy you will love it and get addicted. They are these fabulous candle things. My mom showed me them probably about a year ago. Every time I would go home her house would smell so wonderful and she told me it was these smelly bars that she put in this warmer. They have tons of scents and the best thing about them is that the wax stuff never gets hot enough to burn you if for some reason a child may grab it or you spill it on yourself. We use them at my work and everyone is in love with them. I just wanted to share my new favorite thing!!!

Yard Work

Growing up I have never been into yard work, just ask my mom. I remember every summer that my mom would make deals with us. She would give us a bucket (that was hardly very big) and asked us to pick enough weeds to fill it. For every bucket filled she would give us 20 bucks!!! I know you guys are thinking easy money. Not for me and my brothers. We hated it so much we would sit outside for hours trying to fill a dang bucket and we would keep showing my mom the bucket with it barely full asking if that was enough weeds. My mom finally gave up with us and finally hired people to come do the yard work, but I think she payed them a lot more then we would have made!!!

I look back on that now and laugh so hard. Since we have moved into our house it has been a ton of fun getting the yard ready. I spend lots of long nights and weekend days weeding our gardens mowing the yard and getting everything ready to plant some flowers. I think what thrills me the most about it is, one it's my own place that I want to look nice, and two when it's all done it gives you some kinda of accomplishment feeling!!! So all I can say is I hope the nice weather stays.

I'm in Love

I know I am way behind and everyone has already read these books. On my cruise my mom finished up Twilight and told me I had to read it. Almost everyone I know has read them and loved them. Well I decided to follow the crowd and read it and I LOVE it!! I am just waiting to get book #2 from my mom!!! She just finished it and sent it off yesterday in the mail!!

P.S. I am in love with Edward!!! I have had several dreams about him and only wish my husband would change overnight into Edward!!!

Will you Be my Valentine?

Happy Valentines Day everyone!!! Hopefully everyone has some great plans for tonight to go out or do some romantic at home. I know my night will be hanging out at my aunts house waiting for my parents to arrive and ordering pizza when they get here!!! Doesn't that sound romantic enough?

I love Valentines day where you can put the one you love on a peddlestool and let them know how much you love them!!! I might not say it enough in my daily battles and duties of a mom but I want Joel to know how much I love him and appreciate all that you do for our family.
I remember the first time I saw Joel at King Henry Apartments down in Provo, Utah!!! That seems like a lifetime ago. He was wearing his blue King Henry shirt and jeans with holes in them and paint all over them as well. I will never forget the feeling that I got when I first saw Joel standing in my apartment holding his clipboard evaluating our apartment. He had no idea who I even was and was just doing his job. From that exact moment I remember telling my roommates I was going to marry him. They all laughed and that it was so funny that I would say something like that when I didn't even know his name!!! Well it took me almost two months of hard work before I ever got to meet Joel!!! And from that first date on May 20, 2003 we have been so in love ever since!!!

I am so thankful to have such a wonderful husband who cares so much for his family. Joel I know right now it's been really hard with everything and you have been so stressed out and depressed but I want you to know that I am going to stick by your side and help you along the way. Something will work out for our family and soon the long journey will be done. I love you so much and hope you will be my Valentine today!!!!!!!!!

Guitar Hero!

Well we finally broke down and got Guitar Hero!! It is such a blast and let me suggest that if you have a Wii or any other gaming system that Guitar Hero is a must have. We have only had it for two nights and I am addicted. Joel is way good at it and a natural. Me on the other hand I am learning!! Someday I hope to be expert!!

Peyton has enjoyed watching us play and is ver interested in playing herself. We have told her time and time again that she can't play with it and it breaks her little heart. But sneaky her trys to get it out and chance we aren't looking and throws the strap over her shoulder and starts playing!!! This morning I caught her doing this very thing and had to take a picture!! Maybe someday Peyton will be expert on it.

Christmas Day

Can I just say "AWH"! (With a big sigh) I am so glad that Christmas has come and went. Don't get me wrong I love Christmas. It is actually my favorite holiday. I just love the feeling Christmas brings but also when it is over I feel so relieved that I can sit back and relax once again!!

Joel Peyton and I had a wonderful Christmas this year. On Christmas Eve we went out to dinner with my Aunt Sandy, Uncle Jim, and cousin Jeff. We had a great time. Then after dinner Joel, Peyton, and I came home to open our new pajamas and read The Night Before Christmas.

Christmas morning Peyton woke up with so much excitement as if she really knew what was going on. She loved all the great things Santa had brought to her. She kept saying Santa and smiling so big.

We had my aunt, uncle, and cousin over for breakfast and so they could watch Peyton open her presents. It was fun to have them over and share that experience with them. Peyton got a lot of fun things!!

In my next post I will post a slide show of Peyton on Christmas!! I hope you all had a wonderful Holiday!!

I think she has been naughty all day today!! Hope you like the pictures of our slide show!! I just have to add in here that the ghost one is mine, and the weird looking one that is a palm tree and a flamingo that one is Joel's. The other two are our neighbor kids!!!

New Makeup

Today I am getting all new makeup. I don't remember the last time I went out and bought nice makeup. Lately I have just been getting by with what I have but Joel decided I go out and get some new stuff. It always feels better when your husband actually gives you permission to buy something because then I don't feel so guilty. I love clinique makeup. It my favorite!! If you would like to buy some of your own clinique just go here!!

XM Radio

When you bought our car back in March it came with XM radio. Now if you have never heard XM radio you are missing out! We got 3 months for free and loved every minute of it when we were riding around in the car. After our 3 free months were up Joel didn't want to pay for it, he can be so cheap sometimes, and I have been missing it.

Well my friend was telling me about how bored she gets at work and she logs into AOL music and can listen to XM for FREE. Yeah you heard me right FREE!!! All you have to do is go here and click on the listen now button.

It has some great music. My favorite ones are top 20 on 20, Highway 16, The Blend, and 90's Pop!! If you are bored or just wanting to listen to some great music check it out.

Happy Anniversary!

Three years ago today was such a wonderful day. Three years ago today was Friday the 13th of August. Most people are scared of such a day being Friday the 13th and all but I read somewhere that things that happen on such a day last FOREVER!!

Well I know it hasn't been forever but it has been 3 years of marriage for Joel and I. I just wanted to share with everyone all the wonderful things about Joel and all the crazy things that have happened in the last three years of marriage.

I LOVE YOU JOEL AND CAN'T WAIT TO CONTINUE OUR LIVES TOGETHER!!

P.S. I wanted to share this cute poster that I made for Joel. He hates it when we buy each other stuff for occasions. So I thought I would do something small and cute that he might laugh at!!

iplay

So since the weather has been soo nice Peyton and I have been spending a lot of time at the pool. And since Peyton isn't potty trained yet she has to wear a swim diaper. Have you ever bought those things?? The run about 10 bucks for like 8 of them. That is REALLY expensive. Well the other day I was digging through some hand me downs that my sister gave me and found this really cute swimsuit for Peyton. The great thing about it was the bottom part of the bikini is a swim diaper. It is reusable and you don't have to buy those expensive dispoabale ones.

Yesterday when we were at the pool I noticed that Peyton's cute swimsuit with the diaper bottoms was getting a little too small. So I decided I better figure out who makes this great swimsuit and order one. The company is called p-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_2">iplay and there are many places you can get this great product. One place is called Beach Bambino.

I actually order Peyton's cute one on ebay!! And it was a GREAT price. O and the other great thing is they don't just make these swimsuits for little girls; they have them for little boys too!!! So check them out!!

Neti Pot

I found this wonderful addicting sinus cleaner. Trust me if you use it you'll love it. It takes a few times to get use to it because at first it feels like you are drowning. So you may ask why do you use this product and when to use it. Well here you go
Why a Nasal Wash?
The nasal passages are lined with a thin layer of mucus that is one of our body's first lines of defense against disease. A nasal wash keeps this layer of mucus moist, clean and healthy. And compared to other nasal wash techniques, using the Neti Pot™ is easy. A nasal wash can be as routine as brushing your teeth.

Use it anytime to:
Remove excess mucus due to congestion.
Rid nostrils of pollen and other allergens.
Cleanse the nasal membranes of dust, smoke, or other airborne contaminants.
Relieve nasal dryness due to air travel.
Improve flow of breath before doing relaxation or meditation techniques.
If you would like to find more out about this product then go here and if you would like to buy your very own then you can go here

G Diapers

I wanted to share this great new thing that my friend recently told me about. They are these diapers called G diapers. They are so adorable and very enviromental friendly. They are a mix between cloth and disposable diapers. What you do is buy the outside of the diaper. (which are very cute and fashionable!) Then you buy these linners that go inside them. I am going to place an order and am so excited to get them. My friend has been using them and LOVES them. And the best part is you can flush the linners. So that means no more stinky mess making your house smell like your child bum!!
