Vacation Time!

I am getting more excited as the days pass on for our cruise. It's only 13 days till we leave. Joel and I both NEED this trip more than anyone knows. We both need a break from the real world and need a week of relaxation and sun! This will be the first "real" trip we have ever gone on together. We didn't really go on a honeymoon we went to Victoria, Canada but it wasn't anything romantic. I just hope this next week and a half goes by fast!!!

Just The Two of Us.....

Joel and I had a great weekend away. We headed down Saturday morning to Salt Lake for a work party! It was a much needed weekend together without Peyton. It's always nice to be childless for a night and actually have fun with your evening that doesn't involve coloring or putting together puzzles with a two year old!!!

We went to the Utah Blaze game. Apparently Utah has an indoor football team that nobody really knows about because everyone there had no idea who they were till we actually got to the game and learned more about it. We all hung out in this suite while we ate some yummy food. Then we watched the fireworks show and the Idaho Managers decided it was time to leave!!! So a bunch of us went to Porta Call and hung out and played pool.

Like I said it was a much needed getaway. My aunt and uncle watched Peyton for us. I usually worry about her when we are gone and leave her over night but for some reason when we leave her with my aunt and uncle I know nothing can go wrong. Let's just say they spoil her WAY too much and she get all the attention she wants and trust me they give it to her. Peyton had so much fun with them that when we went there to pick her up today she would hardly talk to us and only wanted to be with them!!! She was asleep when we left there house this afternoon and when she woke to find herself back at home all hell broke lose. She was so upset and was calling JIM (who is my uncle) and she was calling JIM MOM (who she calls my aunt) and then she was calling MADDIE (who is there dog)!! She wanted to be back at there house and not with her own parents!!! What are we going to do when we move and she can't see them??? I guess we'll have to come visit a lot. I took a few pics and thought I would share!

This is how Joel feels about me taking pictures!

Finally some time alone

Joel LOVES it when I take these kind of pictures

Sister time!!

Well tomorrow I am headed down to my sisters house for a couple of days!!! It has been almost a year since I have been down to her house. I always have so much fun when I am with her and Peyton always has fun playing with her cousins!!! We have some fun plans to go shopping and take the girls to get there pictures done!!! My really good friend Meleana does awesome pictures of all kinds. So if you are ever in need of a great photographer you should get in touch with her.

This weekend will be great fun and I can't wait. I am just not looking forward to Peyton in the car for almost 4 hours. She has been such a naughty little girl the past couple of days.

Yes you heard me correctly......we will be cruising in April. Joel and I will be leaving on the 12th of April for a 7 night cruise. We will be going with most of my family!! I believe there will be a total of 15 of my family members. Did I mention that nobody is bringing kids?? Yes that is also correct!! No kids for a whole week on a vacation worth wild. I can't wait and just wanted to share with everyone how excited we are. It's time for vacation!

Back Home!

The first picture of course is Peyton's famous lunch time special of ranch dressing all over her and everything else in sight!

Let my start off by apologizing because this is going to be a long post cuz of all the pictures! But hopefully you will find much enjoyment in reading and looking at pictures of our fun trip to Washington to see Grandma and Grandpa Powell!!

We had so much fun. We spent at lot of time just at home hanging out and playing but we did go to the zoo one day and had a blast!! So here the pictures I took while up there!

Peyton was a little nervous about the bunny. She really didn't want to touch it.

I think she liked seeing all the animals at the family farm

She had to keep an eye on all the animals

Petting the animals at the family farm

Grandma trying to get me to hurry up!

She loved riding on the horse. Especially when it was going up and down!

Getting ready to take a ride on the carousel

Getting a good look at the monkeys! She was so funny when she was looking at them. She was talking to them like they were going to respond to her!

Looking at the giraffes with daddy

Just siting back in the wagon having a drink with my cool shades on!

Hanging out with Grandpa!

Needless to say we all had a fun time in Washington. But at the same time it feels so good to be back at home where we can get our life's back in order!!

Here I come Seattle

How beautiful does that look?? Every time I fly to Seattle I can start to see the city I get this excitement in my stomach and this calm feeling all at the same time!! This is when I truly feel like I am home.

Going to Seattle for me is always such a treat. I am so flabbergasted that I get to spend a whole 10 days in this beautiful place and it's a huge bonus that I get to see my family!!

The whole reason for us going up to Seattle is for my little brothers graduation. I can't believe he is almost done with high school. It really does seem like just the other day when I found out my mom was having another baby!!

Pike Place Market

Joel, Peyton, and I are headed to the Seattle area in just a few weeks for my brother Taylor's graduation!! We are excited to take a little family trip and get away from Twin. But one thing that I want to make sure that we go to Pike Place Market. I grew up going to this place all the time. When you walk the streets the smell of fish is in the air! The people rang from all different types. The have so many vendors sell a variety of things and some of the best seafood you will ever sink your teeth into. Joel has never experienced Pike Place, but after this trip to Washington he just might have a story for you about trying to catch a fish in Pike's Place. Have you ever wondered how they are so good at catching those fish??
